FORM EXPLORATIONS
Below are images from a round of studies exploring the tangible and material qualities of paper. The intent was to deconstruct an ordinary material and construct new forms based upon the material’s inherent qualities.
Different kinds of folding techniques were used to create repetition, scale and proportions similar to architectural spaces. Furthermore, high and low contrast, luminance and reflectivity were used to enhance the sensual qualities of each image through photography. Some images were further manipulated with lines to strengthen details and add missing information.
